Kody Fretts is a 2024 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Coventry, RI who attends Coventry. Fretts works from a broader build with athleticism present. From the IF, he showcased a deep fielding funnel with range up the middle displaying consistency to the mechanics to produce accurate throws across the diamond. He flashed a reliable glove and ultimately projects as a corner IF. On the mound, Fretts used a quicker tempo and lower 3/4 slot to generate natural arm side run on the FB up to 81 mph. The natural movement produced tons of weak contact and efficient outs with the ability to drop a slurvy breaker on command for swing and miss. Offensively, he started from a narrower stance with hover present in the leg load, firing the hands for a compact line drive stroke with evident carry and backspin. Fretts clearly swings a heavy barrel, posting an exit velo of 89 mph. Ran a 7.64 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
