Lucas Edwards is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Delran, NJ who attends Bishop Eustace Prep. Recorded a 7.51 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with a high waist and plenty of room to add strength as he matures. Primary middle-infielder with some bounce in his steps during the fielding process. Displays clean funnel out in front, works downhill through the baseball and showed plenty of lateral range to either side. Smooth, easy movements into release and exhibits the ability to change arm angles when necessary. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with a belt high leg lift into balance and shorter stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 77 mph from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Exclusively threw fastballs in this look, flashing some riding action to it and developing command of the strike zone. Will continue to improve on the mound with additional appearances and refinement of his repertoire. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, narrow stance with exaggerated high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Contact oriented stroke with flatter swing path and consistent ability to find the barrel. Exhibits whole field approach with plenty of present bat speed and burgeoning gap-to-gap power potential. Projectable, young prospect with tons of upside on both sides of the ball that will continue to improve with additional strength and maturity. Good Student.
