Joel Brown is a 2027 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-9 162 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Westside. Recorded a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a long and lean frame. Begins delivery with a high leg lift. Stays compact with delivery and arm action is clean and loose. Fastball topped at 77 mph and commanded it well. Athleticism to the operation and went to breaking ball, featuring two-plane break, late in counts. Good depth to changeup to round out three-pitch mix. Secondary third baseman and showed active footwork, throwing from an extended release. Also worked out in the outfield and moved to the ball with clean actions. Quick transfer and medium length arm action. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with even feet. Quality bat speed and linear bat path. Has some quickness to the hands and used the opposite field often. Ball jumps off, recording an exit velocity of 83 mph. Named to the 2023 13U/14U Deep South Prospect Top Prospect List.
