Nico Moritz-Toledo is a 2027 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Gainesville, VA who attends Battlefield. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout and grow moving forward. Strong runner, posted a 6.80 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well with momentum towards the ball and a bounce in step, intent in actions and receives it cleanly, carries through the funnel and gets rid of it quickly, arm strength will continue to develop. Adjusts the glove well at first base, easy actions and moves with balance away from the bag; also pitched, simple movements in delivery, compact arm action working to a three-quarters release point, works through it well and filled up the zone. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, mostly true in life with occasional short running life, mixed a curveball at 57 mph with developing bite. Left-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, limited shift moving through lower half into contact. Handsy swing, compact and short through the zone, lots of barrel accuracy and shows ability to pull hands in on the ball. Flashes present carry off of the barrel, repeats swing and shows ability to work to all fields. Excellent student.
