Joseph Queli is a 2024 C/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Mountainside, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.90 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower and compact set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, utilizes a shorter arm action on throws, gets quick out of crouch, can implement additional footwork and weight shift into release while gaining ground. Fields the ball out front in the infield, similar short and tight release point, over-the-top slot, clean actions on the backhand, arm strength and carry on throws will continue to develop, plays low at the ball. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; hands start slightly away from body but remain direct to the ball. Spread stance, limited shift moving into contact, stays compact to the ball and through the zone. Ball comes off well when squared, small hand dip in load, makes consistent contact with some line drives coming off when squared. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
