Zack Nelson is a 2025 MIF/RHP/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Mansfield. Medium young build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. 7.39 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has loose athletic actions to the ball, fields the ball cleanly and gets his feet into position, developing raw arm strength that will improve with additional strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a coiled start with a big drift and stride into contact, hard swing approach to time consistently, hands stay tight and inside, flashed some middle of the field line drive contact when on time. Also pitched and graded out higher as a pitcher at this event. Has an athletic delivery and gets down the mound well, quick and compact arm action that hides the ball well, clean and loose out front at release. Fastball worked up to 78 mph, velocity played up and the pitch got on hitters well. Showed two solid breaking balls in a 12/6 downer curveball with good power and spin and a nice fading change up, maintained his arm speed on both pitches well. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
