2022 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase
Jack Miller is a 2024 SS/RHP, MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Jesup, IA who attends Jesup. He has a taller frame with an athletic build and room to fill. Showed explosiveness by running the sixty yard dash in 6.91 seconds. Primary shortstop that showed twitchy actions and worked well to both sides of his body. He has good footwork and was consistently in the proper fielding position. He has a nice feel for the glove and his throws had carry through the base. Secondary right-handed pitcher that uses a small side step to start his delivery and features a knee to chest leg kick. He has a medium arm action and fires from a low 3/4 slot. He does a nice job of pushing down the mound and working in line with the plate. He worked to both sides of the plate well with his fastball. His curveball showed nice downer action with 12-6 shape. His changeup has a nice velocity difference than his fastball and he does a nice job of disguising the pitch. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base and uses a toe tap trigger for timing. He has fast hands through the zone and showed the ability to make consistently hard contact. His swing is rotational and he does a nice job of staying on balance and getting extended when hitting.
