Mason Berlinger is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Westlake Village, CA who attends Westlake. Recorded a 7.94 second sixty yard dash time. Lanky frame with long limbs and plenty of room to fill. Primary left-handed pitcher, hands start low and stay low, front side control is good and can move the ball around the zone effectively. Good balance over the land leg, competes well in the zone with two pitches, flashed a big sweeping curveball as his lone secondary offering. Crafty lefty who is a strike thrower, will improve as he matures and gets stronger, more velocity to come. Secondary outfielder with an aggressive approach, charges the ball and fields off the front foot. Developing feel for the glove, gets it out quick and throws across his body. Left-handed hitter with a low and tight hand set, keeps them tight throughout and has a late pull back load. Short hand path with a line drive swing plane and pull side approach. Got more aggressive and swung with intent as the round went on. Rotational swing at present, found some barrels and showed pull side pop, solid round overall. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
