Jackson Wininger is a 2022 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-6 153 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends John Paul II. Smaller compact build. 7.93 runner in the sixty. Has good footwork on defense in the middle infield and works well behind the ball, has good hands fielding the ball out front with a sound glove to hand transfer, arm strength would play best at second base, showed his athleticism well overall. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight start with a short hands driven swing, inside swing path, contact approach mid field to opposite field contact, can get his lower half more involved in driving his swing. Also pitched, as a fast paced delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well and has the body control to throw timing changes into his delivery for deception. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, worked down in the zone will with this pitch with good sinking action. Showed some depth on a 11/5 breaking ball with late bite, also threw a split style change up. Solid defensive player whose development will key around offensive improvement. Good student.
