Tavis Spiller is a 2024 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Mechanicsville, VA who attends Hanover. Nice athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has mature actions with good footwork, plays on the move well and charges the ball aggressively, takes good angles to the ball, has a long and loose arm with nice carry when he gets on top of the ball, next level defensive tools. Left handed hitter, loads with a high back elbow that is late getting down, inside hand path, works middle away, has the athleticism to get the elbow down early and let the barrel turn, tools to develop as a hitter. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a deep on line arm stroke, high energy delivery through a low 3/4's arm slot, spins off his front side out front. Fastball was up to 85 with running life and good spin rates, slider had potential with good arm speed at release and some sweeping sharpness, also developing a change up. Good student. Named to the Coastal Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
