Cole Darby is a 2024 RHP/2B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Harvest, AL who attends Sparkman. Recorded a 7.63 second 60-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium frame and slender build. Clean mechanics with side step to a high-belt lift and 3/4 arm slot release getting down the slope. Fastball up to 75 mph (1982 RPM) with a curveball 66 mph (1913 RPM) and straight changeup at 68 mph (1626 RPM). Feel for all three pitches with developing arm strength for more velocity as he matures into frame and adds size. Secondary second baseman with clean footwork working through the ball and solid gather out front. Throws across the diamond at 78 mph with accuracy and inline momentum. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and high hands setup in the box. Inward toe-tap trigger with some bat speed through the zone. Middle-to-pull side approach with linear bat path and impact to the pull side. Solid actions on both sides of the ball and frame to fill for increased size and strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
