Jake Howell is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-11 143 lb. frame from Jefferson City, MO who attends Helias. Long and lean high waisted athletic build, projects well physically. 7.96 runner in the sixty. Has good footwork in the middle infield on defense, moves well through the ball with some athleticism and balance, nice arm strength for his age with carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, starts with a front foot turn load and a lift and replace trigger, has good hand quickness and a short and direct swing, middle of the field line drive approach with good extension out front. Also pitched, rotational delivery with a big body turn, lands closed with his lead leg and ends up throwing around his core, long arm action. Showed good arm strength with a fastball that topped out at 76 mph but will need mechanical adjustments to reach his potential on the mound. Good all around athlete with a good fundamental base to grow into.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
