Lucas Newfield is a 2024 OF/2B with a 5-5 129 lb. frame from Mandeville, LA who attends Fontainebleau. He ran a 8.56 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a young lean build. In the outfield he works aggressively to the ball fielding it off his left foot, he showed a full aura action with a low to the ground crow hop and high release, arm strength is still developing and should with added strength and maturity. His right-handed swing starts with a open, narrow stance, the barrel is in the zone a long time with a level path and developing bat speed, he shifts his weigh into contact getting heavy on the front foot and need the round with a barrel back up the middle.
