Nathan Nagy is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends McCallum. Recorded a 8.49 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with thick lower half and plenty of time to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look, while working his fastball in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing. Incorporates a a slightly coiled leg lift into balance with drop and drive lower half mechanics out to foot strike. Developing command of the strike with natural arm-side life to the fastball from a high three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in slower breaking ball that has slurve like action to it and 11-5 shape. Will need to refine mechanics in order to improve command issues but has some upside and plenty of time to add more velocity. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates segmented footwork into and through the fielding process, bending slightly at the waist to field, while working into a higher arm slot to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 75 mph across the diamond in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even stance with a high back elbow, big leg lift trigger and rotational lower half mechanics. Developing feel for the barrel with elongated and upward barrel plane that will improve with proper adjustments to his lower half pattern. Pull-side approach with aggressive intent.
