Lawson Polhill is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Southwest Florida Christian Ac. A thin build and lean frame. Ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who has a lean build and a shorter arm action working through his throws. He was accurate to the bag and jumped up into throws. Clean pop as he comes out of the crouch. Threw 69 mph down with a 2.04 pop time to pair. A right-handed hitter with a wider base and a simple swing. He starts with the bat on the back shoulder and has a pretty simple operation overall in the batters' box. He keeps things compact and works direct to the ball. He finds the barrel well and was able to work to the middle-of-the-field during his round of BP. Found some barrels throughout the round. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a vertical over-the-top arm slot working through release. He had a slower and deliberate wind-up, throwing strikes on the fastball up to 74 mph. The heater had some tailing action as well. He had a feel to spin as well. Shorter stride down the mound with good rotation through release. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
