Anthony Bates is a 2023 OF/1B with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Davenport, FL who attends Davenport High School. Medium height with long limbs and a slender waist. Ran a 7.66 in the sixty yard dash. A primary outfielder, quick steps during the approach and looks it in to field. Hands would and the exchange is quick, throws were on line with balance at release. A right-handed hitter, starts even and upright keeping his hands above the ball to contact looking to back spin liners. Stays behind the ball and uses the whole field with his approach. Good student.
