Jhenzel Figueroa is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-7 148 lb. frame from Manati, PR who attends Piaget Bilingual Academy. Recorded a 6.70 second 60-yard dash time. Shorter frame with good athleticism and some wiry strength as well. Primary shortstop with active feet and solid hands. Confidence to actions and a good mover with throws across recorded up to 84 mph. Switch hitter with a balanced and online stance. Weight shift load with solid direction in the hands. Barrel skills play well from both sides with an athletic swing overall. Uphill plane from the left side and has some strength at impact. Bat to ball skills and approach stood out in game action with multiple barrels and hits. Great student. Named to the Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.
