2022 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Zach White is a 2024 2B/3B/SS with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Baytown, TX who attends Robert E Lee. Smaller frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.56 second 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, good footwork moving around the dirt, moves well with ease, good direction working through the ball, gains ground through receiving it and in transfer, loose arm on release across and showed things to project on as he gets stronger physically. Switch-hitter, good hitting tools on both sides of the plate. Clean and connected swing on both sides, a bit more bat speed from the right side but able to get on the barrel a consistent amount on both sides with fluidity, the ability to backspin line drives and use the whole field as he lifted some balls with authority and projects to a good bit more pop. Hit really well in game, quick-twitch hitter with feel for the barrel on both sides. Great student. Named to 2022 Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
