2023 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 12)
Garrett Stephens is a 2027 OF/MIF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Collierville, TN who attends Collierville. Medium, athletic frame with some present strength on frame and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, turns shoulders prior to fielding the ball out to side, shows quickness to arm, accuracy on throws to intended base, can continue to refine lower half mechanics, effort at release with a lower slot on throws, shows arm speed through back side. Left-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; loads hands back at start of swing. Quick hands and shows carry off of the barrel to his pull side, creates whip to the barrel and shows a present feel for contact. Line drive contact to all fields, nice tools to build upon moving forward. Named to the WWBA Summer Workout Top Prospect List.
