2023 Northern California Workout Showcase (Sunday)
Lawrence Westbrook is a 2023 OF/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Vacaville, CA who attends Vacaville. Features a solid athletic frame with a high waist. Worked out in the outfield and showed proper foot and glove mechanics. He had a quick, loose over the top arm with effortless velocity. At first base he showed his athleticism moving really well laterally and fielding everything. Smooth, accurate feeds on double play balls. He also threw a bullpen in which he topped out at 84 mph on his fastball and threw a consistent sharp slider. He showcased easy arm action and was around the plate throughout. At the plate he has a slightly closed stance. Excellent hand speed with a pull side approach. He had gap power and a solid launch angle. He found many loud barrels. He was added to the Top Prospect list for this event. He is also a good student.
