Bryce Smith is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-3 178 lb. frame from Timberlake, NC who attends Voyager Academy. Long and loose athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Slow to fast delivery on the mound, works from the far third base side of the rubber, full arm swing in back, extended 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot, tends to fly open with his front side. Fastball worked up to 81 mph, gets nice running action on his fastball, pitched almost exclusively to the arm side with his fastball and will need to learn to work to the glove side in the future. Breaking ball toggled between a curveball and a slider, was more effective with better spin the harder he threw the pitch. Flashed some quality to his change up. Has the athleticism and arm to continue to improve. 6.98 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder, showed nice athleticism and range, arm works well with projectable arm strength, has a quick release on his throws. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a big low wrap barrel load, busy leg load and kick, lots of moving parts, gets the ball in the air with consistent lift. Good bet to keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
