Joey Titone is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Downers Grove, IL who attends Downers Grove South. Large frame with broad shoulders and longer limbs. Primary left handed pitcher with a side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line with front side and carries momentum well to the plate. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Created good extension out front and produced solid downhill tilt through the zone with a fastball that topped at 78 mph. Tends to slow arm speed slightly with a changeup offering that produced occasional fade in the mid 60's. Also flashed a split finger that generated late downward sink in the low 60's. Repeated mechanics well and consistently located all three pitches within the bottom quadrants of the zone.
