Braydin Kurz is a 2024 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Pasadena, MD who attends Mount Saint Joseph. Big strong frame with excellent muscular development and the athleticism to go with it. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Primary position 1B, moving well on his feet and show nice comfort around the bag. Uses the glove well, showing soft hands and proper actions securing the ball well. Compact arm generating accurate throws up to 75 mph across the diamond. Secondary RHP, working primarily from the stretch and the 1B side of the rubber. Linear path down the slope, hand starting at belt and separating at the chest into deep inline arm path to a high 3/4 arm angle. Medium leg lift to belt, working through front side pretty well and stayed around the strike zone. FB up to 77 mph with average spin traits, SL up to 69 mph with above average 2,200+ rpms. Good competitor. LHH starting slightly open, using good load and strides back towards the plate. Tight handset set but really gets the barrel moving to his pull oriented approach. When he stays in his legs he creates really loud contact and shows easy loft to the pull side. As he shows the ability to stay more in the middle of the field, the bat will play at an even higher level. Elite performer in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
