2023 14U Georgia All-State Games
Ben Chastain is a 2027 OF/RHP, MIF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Harrison. Long and thin build, chance to fill out over the coming years. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fundamental approach to gather with deliberate footwork, uphill release, developing feel for the spot overall as well as arm strength that will aid the process. Secondary right-handed pitcher, direct to the plate with a high front side, three-quarters arm slot, strictly fastballs here, solid delivery with repeatable mechanics overall. Right-handed hitter, wider base, even and squared off, hands by the chest, low back elbow, short stride out, subtle rock to backside, gets untacked some, works to create extension, developing path. Will improve with additional mature strength in both halves of the frame.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
