Hayden Holec is a 2024 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Rapid City, SD. Extra-large, athletic frame with a long, projectable frame and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.34 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, plays back on the ball and shows shorter steps once underway with some body control, funnels ball into body, longer arm action through the backside with effort at release, over-the-top release point, shows arm strength across diamond, showed well on the charge play. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger, creates some separation in swing. Stays inside the ball with a longer swing path through the zone, shows some present bat speed and projects for more with added strength; rotational swing, best contact off of the barrel to the opposite field with some strength. Excellent student.
