2023 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 12)
Andrew Edwards is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Killen, AL who attends Brooks. Medium, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front with two hands, looks to work through the backhand with footwork, moves well up middle, young actions and will continue to develop, shows accuracy with carry on throws across the diamond, can drop slot as needed, projects nicely moving forward. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a slightly open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Balanced swing, stays short to the ball with a direct path, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength. Contact oriented approach, gets the barrel to the ball and repeats, simple swing, best on a linear path through the zone. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
