Connor McCue is a 2022 OF with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Suffield, CT who attends Suffield. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball to side, show footwork moving towards the ball, lower slot on throws and gets under the ball at release, opens front side early in mechanics, works around the plate with throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate; can shorten lower half mechanics, limited shift into contact. Long swing path through the zone, works on a linear path and shows quickness to hands. Occasional lift to path, projects with additional lower half in swing. Very good student.
