Julian Diaz is a 2026 SS/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Southwest Ranches, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Medium frame with a lean build showing room to fill out physically. Ran a 7.56 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, first step actions present proving to have good lateral range. Fundamentally sound with the footwork. Scoops it up and shuffles into transfer. Carry to throws across the diamond up to 85 mph. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, works from the middle of the rubber. Belt high lift before driving down the hill. Athletic motion staying fluid. Gets extended and released from a three-quarter slot. Fastball up to 80 mph with spin rates around 2,150 rpm. Snuck it up on hitters and was confident with it. Changeup in the low-70's showing fade. Rounded arsenal off with vertical breaking ball in the mid-60's. Right-Handed Hitter, even base with high hands to start. Strides out before working into a linear cut. Direct hand path while proving he could drive it to all fields. Barrel control present and will make strides with a physical strength gain. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
