Aric Hickman is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Temple, TX who attends Temple. Lean high waisted frame. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman that does a nice job of getting to a spot and getting to a fundamental fielding position. Hand work through the baseball some, showed some body control and made accurate feeds to bases with solid average arm strength. Hit from and even base, compact swing with some leverage and an uphill bat path. Swings with intent and strength over bat speed. Not always connected but strong enough to go gap to gap at all times. Some impact pop especially to his pull side. Showed a fastball/curveball combo on the mound with some rhythm and a three-quarter arm slot. Low 70's fastball that he had command of and got ground balls with and curveball with slurvy shape. Did a nice job of throwing plenty of strikes. Named to even Top Prospect List. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
