Hayden Burks is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Halls, TN. Recorded a 7.75 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with a strong and physical build. Primary shortstop with high front side/high slot release, has quick transfers and gets the ball out with urgency. Shows a strong lower half and hands work well to both sides of his body. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a half turn and an online stride, utilizes a compact arm circle and comes from an over-the-top slot. Fastball has late sink to it and was able to fill up the zone consistently. Curveball had 11-5 shape with significant depth and average bite/tightness. Has some deception to the delivery which makes everything harder to pick up. Right-handed hitter with a semi-crouch and slightly open stance, utilizes a leg lift trigger/load to generate leverage in the lower half. Flat bat path through the zone with decent bat speed, has present physicality in the swing. Showed an all fields approach, still some stiffness present in the swing, will continue to improve moving forward. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
