2022 WWBA West Workout Showcase (July 15)
Grant Richardson Jr is a 2025 OF/MIF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Montgomery. Features a wiry build with athleticism present. Very good runner. Ran a 6.62 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and in the outfield. Caught the ball cleanly using a patient approach in the outfield. Was accurate with most throws using a shorter arm action. Threw 81 mph during workouts. Hands translated to the infield. Caught the ball cleanly throughout defensive workouts. Showed the ability to make the routine play. Range profiles well for a corner spot. Arm strength played across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a narrow base. Separates hands back using a simple timing mechanism. Swings on a linear path with some feel for the barrel present. Approach is geared toward the pullside. More power should come as the frame continues to add strength.
