Dan Moleti is a 2023 OF/RHP, C with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from West Hartford, CT who attends Hall. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, present strength to frame with additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.16 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, short steps moving towards the ball, developing fielding actions, taller release and projects with additional lower half implemented, shows accuracy on on throws to intended base. Receives the ball out front from behind the plate, gains short ground with lower half coming out of crouch, around the second base bag with throws down, tight arm action, strength will continue to develop on throws. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, leg lift just below belt, short arm action and hides it in the back working to a lower three-quarters release point. Short stride down the mound, shows short life to fastball when working down in the zone, fastball topped out at 77 mph, can get more drive from lower half. Tends to slow arm on release of curveball, flashed a changeup at 68 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with an event stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; limited shift through lower half moving into contact. Upper body dominant swing, stays short with swing path through the zone and through finish, keeps hands inside, projects with additional extension out front, shows comfort working to pull side. Excellent student.
