Benjamin Escobar is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Burbank, CA who attends Santa Margarita Catholic. He has a large frame with long limbs and plenty of room to add strength to the frame. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.30 seconds. He is a primary pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch. He has a knee to belt leg lift that he creates torque with and stays in line with the plate. He has a long, circular arm action and fires from an over-the-top arm slot. His fastball is straight and his curveball has 12-6 shape that he sometimes cuts around on giving it 11-5 break. Secondary outfielder that uses the same arm action in the outfield as he did on the mound. Offensively, he starts in an upright and even base. Uses a knee-to-knee leg kick trigger. He shifts his weight through his swing well, and has natural loft in his swing. The present strength shows when he is able to make contact out in front of the plate, driving balls pull side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
