Gustavo Leon is a 2025 SS/2B, 3B, MIF, IF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Olathe, KS who attends Olathe East. Recorded a 7.29 second sixty yard dash time. Longer frame with a lena and athletic build. Primary shortstop that keeps his feet moving throughout and made an accurate throw on the run. Made all the plays cleanly with some bounce and range. Showed good actions defensively in game action with a nice play in the hole at shortstop and making the long throw to get the runner. Left-handed hitter, starts from an even base and a square stance, utilizes a toe tap trigger. Quick hands with a compact swing and holds the angles. Separates some with average bat speed and athletic body control. Consistent in sync swings with a gap to gap approach driving a couple into the gap during the round. Real hitters traits. Also hit well during the game adding three hits on Saturday including a loud line drive into the right-center field gap for a triple. Exciting player with good upside. Excellent student. Named to the Central Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
