Dawson Tucker is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Terrell, NC who attends Bandys High School. Strong build with broad shoulders and a classic catchers body. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Primary C, working from a high initial setup and square to the mound. Inline transfer and short arm action generating throws up to 75 mph and nicely on the bag. Glove work is a bit stiff but can be really good with some more reps. Solid footwork and will quicken with time and help on throws that showed a 2.35 best pop time. Reps from OF as well, working through ball two-handed and glove off to the side often. Deliberate gather and deep funnel to throw where he showed good carry and accuracy reaching 82 mph on throws back to infield. RHH working from a slightly open stance and very active bat waggle to get hands started. Small stride to transfer weight and when on time did damage in the middle of the field. There is physicality here, the times he stayed inline he got on plane creating loud contact. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
