Deuce Musial II is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-5 182 lb. frame from De Pere, WI who attends Notre Dame De La Baie Academy. Long and slender frame with plenty of room to fill and physical development to come. Primary right-handed pitcher with a leg lift above the belt, long arm action with a high and tight release. High effort thrower with some head whack, stays fairly balanced throughout and repeats the operation well. Ball gets on you quick, attacks the zone with the fastball and can spot it at the knees. His fastball proved to be overpowering in this setting, challenging hitters with it and generating lots of swings and misses. Featured an 11/5 breaking ball with tilt and short vertical break, developing feel for it at present. The body and arm stand out and obviously project well moving forward. Will improve as he gets stronger and continues to develop his off speed pitches. Great student.
