Logan Duplantis is a 2023 2B/RHP, OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St Thomas Aquinas. Recorded a 7.72 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame and young build with lots of room to fill. Primary second baseman with some twitch to his actions, active feet that move well laterally. Comes from a high three-quarters release with some carry across the infield. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a quick arm circle and a slight arm stab in the back. Arm action is a bit jerky but there is definite speed present. Fastball stays true, throws a good-looking curveball with hard bite, 11-5 shape with nice depth and tilt. Drop and drive mechanics with a big leg whip on the follow through, had quick and efficient innings. Right-handed hitter with a narrow and closed off stance and high hand set. Small stride, stays on time with the load, swings hard around the spine. Good direction with the hands, loose and extended swing. Gets the barrel vertical and has present bat speed, ball comes off hard. Barreled balls to the pull gap consistently, great round of BP. Excellent student.
