Scott Bauman is a 2021 RHP/ with a 6-0 172 lb. frame from Stevenson Ranch, CA who attends West Ranch. Medium build with present physicality and room to strengthen as he continues to develop. Pitcher only, has a short arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Big side step into a quick mid leg lift. Some good violence to his drop and drive actions down the hill. Arm stroke is efficient and he hides the ball well as it works back along his body line. Fastball sits 84-86 mph, shows good command for the pitch. Located it to all four quadrants with intent. Good maturity to his 11-to-5 shaped curveball, showcases good late vertical break to the plate. Throws it with a ton of conviction. Mixes in a good 79 mph changeup with more than enough depth to miss bats. Holds his velocity well, fastball occasionally will possess some significant cutting actions to the plate. Solid three pitch mix with poise on the bump, good student in the classroom as well.
