Owen Mauney is a 2027 RHP/IF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Warner Robins, GA who attends Houston County High. Medium frame with a young average build. Ran an 8.92 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, abbreviated windup into a longer arm stroke through a three-quarters slot, works direct to the plate and fills the zone with a full mix, fastball plays true right now and sinks a bit, showed some feel for mixing his curveball and changeup for strikes. Plays infield too, deliberate mover and clean to the backhand, developing strength and athleticism but has an idea of working around the spot. Right-handed hitter, longer swing with a simple move in, rotational a bit and has developing bat speed, works to stay to the middle and will do so more consistently with added strength.
