Steven Mims is a 2026 LHP/1B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia. Primary left-handed pitcher with a medium frame and strong lower-half build. Recorded a 8.21 second 60-yard dash time. Big side step to compress the slab sinking into his lower half with a slightly coiled lift. Low 3/4 arm slot release down the slope with run on the fastball up to 81 mph (1696 RPM). Some deception to the delivery with arm slot and release with arm strength down the slope. Secondary first baseman with two-hand funnel out front and low arm slot on throws across the diamond at 72 mph. Worked to the ball in the outfield with long arm swing after gather on throws to the bases at 79 mph. Left-handed hitter with a slightly open base and level swing path through the zone. Some strength in the hands with impact out front. Good student.
