Matheu von Oy is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-8 154 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends . Medium build with room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary outfielder, stays low to and through the baseball. Fields it off to the side and creates good angles to the baseball. Clean gather, looks to get rid of the ball quickly. On the mound, has a long arm action from a high three-quarter slot. Lands closed down the mound and slightly crossfires. Some slight deception. Fastball up to 80 mph possesses some occasional arm side run. Mixes in an 11-to-5 shaped curveball with good depth to the plate. At the plate, uses an upright and slightly open stance with a leg kick trigger. Good hand coil back into his load, creates some whip through the zone. Good bat speed. At his best when working through the middle of the field, power tool will continue to develop. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
