Ian Yorel Gonzalez Morales is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-11 162 lb. frame from Aguadilla, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to fill out and get stronger. 7.22 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has clean and polished defensive actions, glides easily to the ball with good glove position out front, makes accurate throws from all arm slots. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base and a straight stance, loads his hands deep, aggressive swing with some intent, mid field to pull side line drive contact. Also pitched, uses a cross body delivery from the stretch with a 3/4's arm slot, gets his lower half into his delivery with hard rotation. Upper 70's fastball, works his fastball mostly to the glove side. Slider was his best pitch this outing with good command and a deep sweeping break. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
