Alex Hussey is a 2023 SS/2B/3B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from South Berwick, ME who attends Marshwood. Medium, athletic frame with some lower strength and room to fill out. Recorded a 7.63 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with fundamentally sound actions into and throughout the fielding process. Displayed good angles to the baseball, worked downhill into a clean funnel and exhibited softness to his hands. Showed ability to make the plays to each side and got rid of the baseball quickly. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 73 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with an exaggerated high hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates a toe-tap trigger for timing and rotational lower half mechanics to generate bat speed. Intent based swing with heaviness to his hands and some impact when on-time. Still developing feel for the barrel, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
