Rock Duer is a 2025 MIF/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Marcus. Athletic lean build. Primary middle infielder with quick feet. Starts and stays low fielding it cleanly to both sides of the ball. Moves well laterally. Has a strong arm with good accuracy. Works around the ball well with a soft set of hands. Speed will help carry him and get to balls with ease. Fluid fielding motions. Changes slot well and can make off balance throws. Transfers quick and easy all in one motion. Also played outfield with a strong arm. Ball carries out of the hand as he fields it cleanly to the side. Maintains good direction and momentum at all times. Switch hitter. From the left side starts slightly open with a narrow base. Has a smooth lefty swing with plenty of bat speed. Transfers the weight well with a slight rock back and stays on time. Creates more leverage from the left side and can really launch it. From the right side, he starts out slightly open with a balanced base. Small stride back to front. Fires off the back side well. Hands stay still as barrel stays compact through the zone. Good pull side pop from the right side. Excellent student.
