Ian Ryan is a 2026 RHP/SS with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Pikeville, KY. Large, narrow shouldered frame with a high waist and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.08 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, begins with a side step moving into a leg lift up to belt, slow and methodical pace to tempo, online with lower half coming down the mound and works with a full arm action through the back up to a high three-quarters release point. Low effort release and comes out cleanly with extension out front. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, mostly true in life, got hitters off balance in the box, maintained velocity and flashed life late. Found a feel for curveball throughout outing and mixed with comfort, big 12-6 shape up to 59 mph with some depth. Fields the ball closer to body in the infield with some bend at waist, young actions, arm plays across the diamond with accuracy. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with an even stance. Rotational swing, handsy swing and keeps them inside the ball, stays short to and through the ball, can continue to implement additional weight shift into swing. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
