Oliver Swartz is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Apex, NC who attends Cary Academy. Young player with medium, athletic build. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Primary left-handed pitcher, works from a full windup from the third base side of the rubber, belt high lift to balance, compact arm action in the back to a high three-quarters slot. Fastball showed occasional arm-side life in the upper-70s. Also mixed in a curveball with depth in the upper-60s. Secondary first baseman with athletic movements around the bag, showed feel for the position, very fundamentally sound. Recorded throws up to 81 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, under control when charging and a quick first step, has a one hand gather on the side, clean exchange to a higher release point. True flight on accurate throws to the bag, up to 80 mph. Left-handed hitter with an open stance, uses a hanging leg lift trigger, gets the barrel on plane early, with easy bat speed. Produced loud pull side contact in the middle of the round. Named to 2022 Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
