Jose Miguel Rodriguez is a 2022 SS/OF with a 5-10 125 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.15 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame with a very lean build and room to add strength. Primary shortstop who fields with two hands out in front. Deliberate actions and waits on the ball. Arm strength recorded up to 83 mph across with some accuracy. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a compact delivery. Big side step into a leg lift above the belt and drop and drive lower half actions. Lands the curveball well and can place it on the outer half. Quick arm with some life on the fastball. Righthanded hitter with an inside path to contact and a direct swing. Line drive contact to all fields and has some feel for the barrel. Looks to meet the ball out in front and power will improve with added strength. Great student.
