Isaiah Barrett is a 2022 OF/RHP, 3B, MIF, UT with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Tracy, CA who attends St. Mary's. Showed good speed with a 7.04 second sixty. primary outfielder with a stocky stronger build. Attacks the ball in the outfield making strong throws with a quick release form a short arm action while doing a nice job of carrying the momentum from the fielding process into the throws topping out at 86 mph. Works to the right side of the ball on the infield looking to work thought he ball and gain ground into the throws with good arm strength and carry across the diamond. Creates some deception with the drop and drive actions as he comes down the hill getting under the fastball a bit but finding success at the top of the zone with a low to mid 80's fastball topping out at 84 mph from a three-quarters arm slot with quick short arm action. Changeup showed flashes of fadein actions in the mid 70's playing off the fastball well with similar arm speed. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider with a slight open stance getting back to even with a simple load. Showed flashes of bat speed playing best to the pull side with feel for the barrel that showed in game action as well as batting practice. Good student. Named to the 2021 Fall Northern California Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
