Yenuelle E. Rodriguez Aponte is a 2023 3B/C/MIF/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Vineland, NJ who attends Vineland Sr High-South. Compact, medium frame with lean muscle and additional room to add strength. Recorded a 6.87 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with anticipatory footwork into the fielding process. Displayed clean funnel out in-front, some lateral range to either side and online, accurate throws up to 84 mph across the diamond. Secondary catcher that receives from a slightly side-saddled stance with soft hands and a fairly direct mid-line transfer. Gains ground towards his target with deliberate footwork and works into a higher arm slot. Produced arm strength up to 78 mph from behind the dish during drills. Took part in the outfield portioned of the defensive workout as well; where he showed with a developing defensive skill set and present arm strength. Displayed proper footwork into the process, fields off his front foot and gathers by using deliberate pace. Carried momentum into release and recorded arm strength up to 87 mph. Switch-hitter that showed better from the left-side in this look. Used similar stance from both sides with more barrel control and impact potential from the left-side. Stayed consistent more often from the left-side with numerous well-struck line drives, swing translated well into game action. Versatile prospect with quick twitch athleticism and some offensive prowess, will continue to improve with minor adjustments mechanically and additional strength. Good Student.
