Easton Shortle is a 2026 C/RHP/OF with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from Seal Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Compact build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a simple load and trigger that he repeats well, has fast hands and creates bat speed, gets the ball on plane early and hits through the ball, impacts the ball out front and showed some pull side power, does a nice job of repeating his swing and timing. 7.59 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has a long and loose arm action that makes accurate throws, tends to stand up to throw. Also worked out in the outfield and was aggressive to the ball and made accurate soft throws. Took a turn on the mound, has a long arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Threw strikes with a fastball up to 74 mph and a soft curveball, challenged hitters well. Bat is his best tool. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
